Many of us have gone into a paint store and looked through the thousands of paint swatches on display and taken these home to help select our favorite shade for our walls. We forget that these are also great color inspirations for your interior decor. There are numerous paint stores that have an entire palette of colors that will look amazing in your home. Don’t fall into the trap of just utilizing a couple of colors throughout your living space. In fact, to add true richness and interest to your interiors three to five colors will give you way more options and are guaranteed to make your rooms look more designer and well thought out. It might seem intimidating but it’s worth the effort.
Golden Woods Color Swatch
Golden Woods Polyvore Board was inspired by the fall weather and rustic colors. I wanted to create a color swatch that could bring a room into fall yet still has the modernness of everyday living through out the year. Think about nature and how it changes during these September, October and November months. The leaves turn to a pale green, then to an almost amber and yellow hue. I could have just stopped at the green and sunflower yellow but I decided to venture out into a dark brown tone to emulate the earth and help ground the space. Then I added berry pink to bring a punch of the unexpected. It reminds me of the color that you see in a beautiful sunset on a fall evening.
